What is Retreat?

A Retreat is a time where we stop all forms of business and extraneous activities so as to emphasise a particular meditation practice. Retreats can vary in length from a day or two to a few weeks or longer. What all retreats have in common is that they enable us to gain deeper experience of what we are meditating on which will naturally improve our ability to keep positive minds close to our heart in our daily life.

Urban Meditation Retreats

A perfect one-day break from your busy daily life. Discover stillness within, and feel relaxed, refreshed and rejuvenated as you are guided through a series of gentle meditations to uplift and inspire your mind.

Weekend Away Retreats

An opportunity to get away from it all and enjoy a relaxing weekend of guided meditations and teachings on a particular meditation topic. Deepen your experience of meditation and go back into your life feeling positive and refreshed.

Silent Retreats

Silent Retreats provide the perfect conditions to remove distractions and help us concentrate on our chosen object of meditation. The few days we take to off to immerse ourself in meditation on silent retreat can have a profoundly transformative effect on our life.

Buddhist Retreats

We hold regular Buddhist Meditation Retreats at the Temple throughout the year. These retreats focus on Buddhist topics such as purifying our mind, meditating on the path to enlightenment and accumulating positive mental energy. For these retreats you can drop in to any session.
