Take some time out and enjoy a day at the Temple immersing yourself in a series of gentle guided meditations to refresh, uplift and inspire your mind. Relax and rejuvenate and go back into your life feeling calm, positive and stress-free.
The Retreat Venue
The Kadampa World Peace Temple in Surry Hills is an oasis of peace on the edge of the city. During this day retreat you will have the opportunity to enjoy the peace of the Temple itself and to experience inner peace through meditation. During session breaks you can relax with a cup of tea, borrow one of our library books and find a quiet spot to read or simply enjoy the company of other retreat attendees.
The retreat will run from 10am-3pm, and will consist of 3×1 hour meditation sessions. Each session will consist of two simple guided meditations and a practical teaching that you can use to stay calm and peaceful in daily life.
The teacher of this retreat is Katrina Stucki. With over 10 years’ experience in teaching meditation, Katrina explains Buddha’s teaching with great kindness, warmth and humility and shows us how to practically apply these teachings to the real-world situations we encounter in our daily life.
You don’t need to bring anything along to the retreat. If you would like to sit on the floor there are a limited number of cushions available. There will also be chairs. If you would like a cushion, please reserve it when you book. Light refreshments and a delicious vegetarian lunch will be provided.
