Retreat Description

Have you always wanted to learn how to meditate properly? Or do you know how to meditate but need a bit of practise?

In this special urban retreat you can forget about your daily life and settle into the practise of meditation. You will learn simple but effective meditation techniques that you can easily integrate into your daily life and you will gain a taste of the inner peace that only meditation can give you.

Retreat Format

Over three sessions (both one hour long), you’ll be guided through the three meditations on the Clear Mind meditation CDs. You’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a Buddhist teacher with many years of meditation experience.  Delicious home-made snacks will be served in the breaks to give you time to relax and absorb the peaceful surroundings. Everyone is welcome.

Session Times

Session 1:  9:00 – 10:00am

Session 2:  10:30 – 11:30am

Session 3:  12:00 – 1:00pm

The Teacher

The teacher of the Beginners Meditation Retreat is Claire Gormly. Claire is the Education Program Coordinator of KMC Sydney and has studied and practiced meditation and Buddhism for 17 years.  She enjoys sharing her experience of integrating Buddha’s teachings into busy modern life in a clear and lighthearted way.
