About the Weekend: Receive the Avalokiteshvara Blessing Empowerment in Sydney
Compassion has the power to transform every aspect of our life. It brings greater inner peace, improves our relationships and gives us the strength to respond to life’s challenges with wisdom and kindness.
During this special event, receive the blessing empowerment of Buddha Avalokiteshvara, the embodiment of enlightened compassion. This powerful guided meditation and blessing ceremony awakens our natural potential for compassion and creates the inner conditions to develop this extraordinary quality in daily life.
Gen Kelsang Lhachog will also give teachings on the profound Buddhist practice of Powa (Transference of Consciousness). Powa is a compassionate meditation practice that enables us to help ourselves and others at the time of death. Passed down through an unbroken lineage from Buddha Vajradhara, it offers a meaningful way to benefit those who are dying or who have recently passed away.
The event concludes with a guided retreat using Powa Ceremony, the sadhana composed by Venerable Geshe Kelsang Gyatso Rinpoche, giving everyone the opportunity to deepen their experience and gain confidence in this profound practice.
Everyone is welcome. No previous experience or commitment is required.
What is an Empowerment?
An Empowerment is a blissful guided meditation through which we make a special, heart-felt connection with a particular Buddha and receive their inspiration and blessings. The enlightened mind is said to be like a boundless deep ocean, every drop of which has the power to bring inner peace to living beings. Receiving an Empowerment is a means of connecting with the expansive potential inside our own mind.
