Heart Jewel
The Essential Practices of Kadampa Buddhism

Heart Jewel

Join us as Kelsang Jangsem explains in depth, the heart practices of Kadampa Buddhists.

Kadampa Buddhism is a special presentation of Mahayana Buddhism that makes the path to enlightenment accessible to the modern world by showing clearly how we can transform our lives into the spiritual path. In his book, Heart Jewel, Geshe Kelsang, a meditation master of this living tradition, explains two essential spiritual practices. The first is a special meditation practice through which we can receive blessings and gain the realisations of the path to enlightenment. The second is meditation on the Buddha of Wisdom in the aspect of a Dharma Protector, whereby we can gain the inner strength needed to overcome all obstacles to our spiritual practice.

Although this is our in-depth Buddhism class, everyone is welcome regardless of your experience. No need to book. Come to any class, each class is stand alone and without any commitments.

What to expect

Where our Wednesday night in-depth class differs from our regular meditation and Buddhism classes is that extra preparatory practices in the form of Prayers for Meditation are included.  Classes include Buddha’s teachings on subjects such as rebirth, karma, renunciation, the precious mind of bodhichitta and more.  This class is perfect for those wishing to deepen their understanding of these subjects but are unable to attend one of our study programs with commitments.
