Introduction to Buddhism

Online Workshop

Avail until 3 Jul

Have you ever been interested in what Buddha taught, and how it might apply to your busy modern life?

Workshop Description

2,500 years after the passing of Buddha, his example and teachings still resonate.

This morning workshop will explain the essential principles of the Buddhist way of life and how we can gain personal benefit from applying these teachings in our busy modern life.

We will also learn how we can use meditation as a tool for developing good qualities such as inner peace, love and compassion.

You will learn:

  • who is Buddha?
  • what did he teach?
  • what is karma?
  • how can we understand past and future lives?
  • what is the Buddhist way of life?

Everybody is welcome to attend this workshop, regardless of experience. You will receive inspiration and information on how to meditate and the benefits of meditation, with practical teachings on meditation skills. You’ll be guided through a series of meditations to relax and refresh your mind, and improve its strength and stability. You’ll have the opportunity to ask all your meditation questions to an experienced teacher.

The Teacher

The teacher of this workshop is Lia Gasparro. Lia has been practising meditation for over 15 years. Through her natural warmth, sincerity and deep appreciation for meditation and Buddhism, Lia communicates the joy that we can experience by applying Buddha’s teachings to our daily life.
