Kadampa Meditation Centre Sydney

Our Story

KMC Sydney was established in April 2001 and has been located in the inner-city suburb of Redfern since April 2012.

We hold weekly meditation and Buddhism classes at the Centre and at various locations around Sydney. We also hold half-day and full-day courses once a month and, as well as in-depth study programs for people who want to deepen their understanding of Buddha’s teachings.

KMC Sydney is a member of the New Kadampa Tradition – International Kadampa Buddhist Union, a global network of over one thousand centres and groups around the world.

Our Resident Teacher

Kelsang Jangsem is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Sydney.

He has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 1997 and he brings much experience of teaching Kadam Dharma in a warm, kind and inclusive style.

We are delighted to have his knowledge, experience and warm heartedness at KMC Sydney.

KMC Sydney is located in Redfern right on the border of Surry Hills and is easily accessible by train, bus or light rail.

Parking in the area is limited, so please consider public transport when planning your trip.
