Workshop Description


We all know that meditation can be helpful – for health, mental wellbeing and stress. But sometimes it seems really difficult and we feel like we are the one person in the world that can’t do it properly!

This half day course will break meditation down into easy steps It will explain the theory behind Buddhist Meditation, how we can get the most out of meditation, how we can find a type of meditation that works for us, and that can fit into our busy life.

This way we can have a chance to make meditation a regular practice and really start to see the benefits!

With Centre Teacher Kelsang Jangsem

The teacher of this course is Kelsang Jangsem.  Kelsang Jangsem teaches the main GP class at our Redfern Centre and other classes around the Sydney area. He has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 1997 and presents Buddha’s teachings in a light and inspiring manner, showing through his example how to incorporate Buddha’s teachings into daily life.

Workshop Format

Over two sessions (both one and a quarter hours long), Kelsang Jangsem will break meditation down into easy steps and will explain the theory behind Buddhist Meditation. You’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a Buddhist monk and teacher with many years of meditation experience. A delicious home-made morning tea will be served in the break to give you time to relax, absorb the teachings and get to know each other. Everyone is welcome.
