Letting Go of

Past Trauma

Day Course

Sun 7 Apr
10am-4:30pm

An opportunity to develop healing perspectives that challenge unhelpful thought patterns that we can gradually change to improve our life.

About the Course

Trauma is a common experience where an event or series of events can lead to emotional, physical and spiritual collapse. Healing from trauma can take a long time and requires a toolkit of skills on the path to recovery.

Buddhism offers unique insights into healing our past trauma.

It offers us immediate solutions that we can use straight away, with meditation being at the very heart of this.

It also offers us an opportunity to develop healing perspectives that challenge unhelpful thought patterns that we can gradually change to improve our life.

Ultimately Buddhism offers us ways of understanding where trauma stems from and how it is possible to heal not just our own experience of trauma, but also the trauma of others and our world. Our ability to affect change in the lives of others and in the world can be greatly improved by understanding these teachings.

Workshop Format

This full day course is an opportunity to develop healing perspectives that challenge unhelpful thought patterns that we can gradually change to improve our life. You’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a Buddhist monk and teacher with many years of meditation experience. There is that option to purchase a delicious vegetarian lunch and morning and afternoon will be served in the breaks to give you time to relax, absorb the teachings and get to know each other. Everyone is welcome.
