About the Course

We all know the feeling that life is passing us by. So much of our time can be spent in regretting the past or worrying about the future. Maybe we see ourselves wasting precious time, instead of investing our energy into the things we know are good for us.

This half day course is about being in the present. Embracing all that is, learning from our challenges and appreciating the good times. Buddhism gives us an opportunity to really abide in the moment – not just when things feel easy and good, but even when we are deeply challenged, and life is hard.

Come along and be guided through peaceful and uplifting meditations, be inspired by ancient wisdom for modern times, and enjoy the company of like-minded people who are working alongside you to find a more reliable source of peace in their lives.

About the Teacher

Kelsang Jangsem is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Sydney. He has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 1997 and he brings much experience of teaching in a warm, kind and inclusive style. We are delighted to have his knowledge, experience and warm heartedness in Sydney.

What to Expect

Over two sessions, you’ll learn how to control your mind, rather than allowing it to control you.

You’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a Buddhist monk and teacher with many years of meditation experience.

A delicious afternoon tea will be served in the break to give you time to relax, absorb the teachings and get to know each other.
