Workshop Description


In our troubled world, it is increasingly difficult to ward off anxiety and stress. We can easily feel overwhelmed and unable to move ahead with what we want to achieve in life.

Learn how to control your mind, rather than allowing it to control you – so you can stay cool, calm and collected in all situations, by learning to accept painful feelings without being panicked by them.

The Teacher

Gen Kelsang Rabten is the National Spiritual Director for Kadampa Buddhism in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. He is Resident Teacher of KMC Sydney, KMC Australia and KMC Melbourne.  Gen Rabten is an exceptional teacher who is internationally renowned for his ability to convey Buddha’s teachings to everyone – from novices to experienced practitioners – in a way that leaves you feeling uplifted and inspired to make positive changes in your life.

Workshop Format

Over two sessions (both one and a quarter hours long), you’ll receive teachings on how to overcome anxiety through the practice of meditation. You’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a Buddhist monk and teacher with many years of meditation experience. A delicious home-made morning tea will be served in the break to give you time to relax and absorb the teachings. Everyone is welcome.
