Ocean of Peace – Guided Silent Retreat on Emptiness
The Ocean of Peace course fees are specified below and are inclusive of meals and accommodation unless otherwise specified:

Dormitories Dormitories have 4-12 beds (bunk-style) in each room and will be segregated by gender. Your room-mates will be allocated, however if you’d like to share with someone in particular please let us know via email at email@example.com. Please note that no bedding is provided so please ensure that you bring your own along, (Note that a pillow is provided but you will need to provide your own pillow slip, sheets and doona).
Twin/Triple Shared Room If selecting the twin or triple shared option, the room must be occupied by 2 or 3 adults respectively. Please specify the name of your room mate(s) at the time of booking; they will need to make a separate twin/triple room booking and name you as the person they are sharing with. Note that twin/triple rooms are simply 4 bed dormitory rooms which will be limited for use by those who have hired them. Please note that no bedding is provided so please ensure that you bring your own along, (Note that a pillow is provided but you will need to provide your own pillow slip, sheets and doona).
Single Room Note that the single rooms remaining are simply 4 bed dormitory rooms which will be limited for use by those who have hired them. Please note that no bedding is provided so please ensure that you bring your own along, (Note that a pillow is provided but you will need to provide your own pillow slip, sheets and doona).
Off-site Option Please note that, whilst there is an option to stay off-site, it is recommended that retreat participants stay on-site because this will create the most conducive conditions for concentrating the mind and will enable participants to get the most out of their retreat experience.
The retreat will be held at Land’s Edge, Building 1, Chowder Bay Rd, Chowder Bay NSW 2088.
Getting there by car For those who plan to travel by car free parking spaces are available at Georges Heights, a short (but steep) bushwalk from Land’s Edge. Closer to the venue metered parking is available, ($6 per hour or maximum $24 per 24 hour period).
Getting there by public transport For those who would like to catch public transport, bus route 244 runs directly to the front door of Land’s Edge.
The course fee includes the cost of all meals, (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Meals throughout the retreat will be vegan. If you would like the gluten free meal option please indicate this by selecting the appropriate check-box in the booking form. Please note that we are unable to cater for any special dietary requirements other than this.
The retreat timetable is yet to be finalised at this stage, however the retreat is currently planned to begin with dinner and an introduction on Friday evening. The first retreat session of each day (Sun-Mon) will likely commence at 7:30am with the last session ending at 9pm. The retreat will end with lunch on Monday. There will be ample breaks for enjoying the beautiful location and to take advantage of the different beach and bushland walks. The final retreat timetable will be confirmed in your confirmation letter 1-2 weeks prior to the event.
The meditation sessions will generally be 1-1.5 hours long with time in-between sessions for relaxing and exploring the beautiful location. People will be seated in chairs during meditation sessions.
A confirmation letter will be emailed to the email address that you provide on the booking form 1-2 weeks before the retreat. You will also receive a payment receipt shortly after submitting your booking – Should you not receive payment confirmation please check your spam folder and then contact us by phone on (02) 9699 9902 or by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Up to 75% of the course fee may be refunded if you cancel your booking prior to 5pm on Thursday, Oct 24th. All cancellations are required to be made in writing to email@example.com.
