Through the ancient wisdom of Buddhism, presented for modern times, we will discover meditation practices that have been proved reliable and effective over thousands of years.

As effective today, these essential views of ourself, others and the world that we are learning how to adopt, are arguably even more necessary in our troubled modern times than ever before.

About the Teacher

Kelsang Jangsem is the Resident Teacher of Kadampa Meditation Centre Sydney. He has been practising meditation and Buddhism since 1997 and he brings much experience of teaching in a warm, kind and inclusive style. We are delighted to have his knowledge, experience and warm heartedness in Sydney.

Workshop Format

Over two sessions, you’ll learn how to control your mind, rather than allowing it to control you. You’ll have the opportunity to have your questions answered by a Buddhist monk and teacher with many years of meditation experience. A delicious home-made morning tea will be served in the break to give you time to relax, absorb the teachings and get to know each other.


Doors open: 9.30am
Session 1: 10 – 11.15am
Morning Tea: 11.15 – 11.45am
Session 2: 11.45am – 1pm
