Take some time out to immerse yourself in meditation and Buddhist teachings. We hold workshops, retreats and special events throughout the year. Our Saturday & Sunday Workshops and Meditation Retreats are a chance to explore a topic in more depth and gain a real taste of inner peace – and our other special events provide inspiration and encouragement.

Everybody is welcome, regardless of your meditation experience.

Introduction to Buddhism

2,500 years after the passing of Buddha, his example and teachings still resonate.

This morning workshop will explain the essential principles of the Buddhist way of life and how we can gain personal benefit from applying these teachings in our busy modern life.

We will also learn how we can use meditation as a tool for developing good qualities such as inner peace, love and compassion.

Overcoming Stress & Anxiety

Buddha’s wisdom contains an accessible and useful explanation of the underlying causes of these feelings, giving us powerful insight into how they function. Combined with meditation, we will learn how to combat negative states of mind and create a sense of mental freedom.

At this practical meditation workshop, we’ll learn how to control our mind, rather than allowing our mind to control us. Resident Teacher and Buddhist nun Gen Kelsang Lhachog will explain how we can stay cool, calm and collected in all situations, by learning to accept painful feelings without being panicked by them.

Over three one-hour sessions with breaks for refreshments, immerse yourself in a series of gentle guided meditations to refresh, uplift and inspire your mind. You’ll leave feeling relaxed, positive and stress-free.

How to Stop Overthinking

Do you find yourself getting caught in loops of negative thoughts? Are you prone to ruminating or fretting over things – or find yourself getting stuck on tricky situations? Anxiety can also involve overthinking.

We can learn to identify and strengthen key mental functions that will free us from overthinking and stop us feeling trapped by worries and concerns. At this workshop, you’ll learn to recognise the causes of overthinking, and how to stay relaxed, clear and positive.
